I've learned of one customer whos domain admin account they are using to discover their systems by default allows it to have SQL sysadmin access... which is resulting in successful catalog discoveries.
Thanks for the info. What I'm trying to find what type of SQL security you used to allow the Midserver server to collect the catalog info. Did you have to add the midserver service account to a DBusers group in SQL? How did you give the service account access to query the database instance. Thanks.

Actually, I was just informed that we use a script that makes dmo calls to the DB.. Not wmi queries..
